Our Story…
It all begins with an idea.
Owner, Adam Pusateri, grew up in Annapolis and after graduating from St. Mary’s High School, he went on to the prestigious Culinary Institute of America. As a graduate of CIA, Adam followed opportunities to Las Vegas working under some renowned chefs, and eventually building his own catering business. He returned to Annapolis in 2019, and started building InGrano Bistro & Bakery off of Riva Road while still managing his catering business with his partners in Vegas. When the opportunity came up to purchase a property in West Annapolis, he jumped on it and extended the InGrano brand to create a chef-driven boutique restaurant called InGrano Restaurant & Events serving dinner only. This is when the dream was fulfilled to be in business with his close friend, Mack Lewnes.
Mack and Adam have been lifelong friends since they met in 5th grade at St. Mary’s Elementary. Since they were in high school, they talked about going into business together and 20 years later, they have partnered up in the InGrano brand. Mack grew up in the restaurant business, graduated from Cornell’s Hospitality School, and now co-owns and operates Lewnes’ Steakhouse with his brother Sam. The goal is to marry Lewnes' sincere hospitality with Adam’s creativity in the kitchen to create a special and memorable experience.
